University of Connecticut University Libraries Music and Dramatic Arts Library

Borrowing & Circulation

Library Cards: A valid University ID or Community Borrowers card (see Library Cards and Borrowing) is required to borrow circulating materials from the library. Faculty who wish to allow a student to check-out materials on their behalf (e.g., for class) may request proxy borrower status (PDF) for that student.

Library Policies: Many of the circulation policies observed by the Music & Dramatic Arts Library are similar to those for the Homer Babbidge Library, but there are some differences.

Renewals: Some materials may be renewed online. See Renewing Materials Online.

Recalls: If an item is checked out, another patron can recall it for his or her own use. This service is only available for UConn faculty, staff, retirees, students, and officially designated visiting scholars or university affiliates. Locate the item in HOMER. Click on the REQUEST RECALL button at the top of the screen. Faculty, staff, students and university affiliates select the NetID Sign-On button to log in. Community borrowers log in using library barcode and last name. After logging in, select RECALL from the drop-down menu, then click OK. At the next window, select a PICK-UP location, and click SUBMIT.

Reserves: The Music & Dramatic Arts Library maintains a course reserve service for Music and Dramatic Arts courses, as well as courses using music/drama materials. See Reserves.
