Containing over 80,000 volumes, the Music & Dramatic Arts Library (M&DAL) collections support a variety of music and dramatic arts graduate and undergraduate programs in the School of Fine Arts. Use of the library is also extended to the University, community, and state.

The M&DA Library holds most of the University Libraries' materials relating to the subject of MUSIC. This collection includes books, journals, printed music, sound and video recordings, microforms, CD-ROMs, and online resources related to research in the following disciplines: music history; musicology; theory; composition; music education; performance; jazz; musical theater; ethnic and world music; music psychology and therapy, and a growing collection of popular music.
Selected DRAMATIC ARTS materials, with emphasis on stagecraft books and acting editions of playscripts are also housed in the M&DA Library. The library also has most of the new dramatic arts videos. Additional dramatic arts resources are housed at the Babbidge Library.
