Retrieving Recordings

Look up call numbers in HOMER (UConn's library catalog), then present the call number along with a valid university ID or UConn Community Borrowers card at the M&DA Library circulation desk. See Audio Recordings or Drama/Theater Videos for more information about the library's collection and HOMER search strategies.

Loan Periods

Graduate and honors students may borrow audio and visual recordings for fourteen days. Faculty may borrow audio recordings for a semester and videorecordings for fourteen days. Undergraduates and Community Borrowers may borrow audio and visual recordings for seven days with one renewal allowed (renew now); undergraduates are limited to six recordings on their library accounts at any given time, regardless of the number of transactions, and fines accrue daily. Recordings may be removed from the library unless they are on reserve. See circulation loan periods (PDF) for more information. Also see information for alumni and community members.

Headphones

Bring your own headphones to the library or check out headphones at the circulation desk for use at the library's computers or listening stations. The listening rooms have speakers.

Returning Recordings to the Library

Return recordings to the Music & Dramatic Arts Library circulation desk by closing time on the date printed on the charge slip. Avoid using the book drop; if you must use it, please wrap the item carefully so it is not damaged; do NOT put LPs into the book drop. Avoid returning recordings to other UConn libraries (you can if you must). If portions of the item are missing (e.g., disc, notes, case), the item will not be checked in until all parts are present; you may be subject to overdue or replacement fines. See circulation and circulation loan period (PDF) policies for more information.
