Some library materials can be renewed online through HOMER, UConn's library catalog.
These materials must be brought to the circulation desk for return or renewal:
This list is not exhaustive.
So what can be renewed online? Books and scores without restricted loan periods or circulation problems, plus non-reserve sound recordings for undergraduate and graduate students. Overdue items can be renewed online as long as they are not subject to the limitations listed above and below. See the Music & Dramatic Arts Library loan periods for more information.

If online renewal fails, review your steps above, read about materials that cannot be renewed online, then consult the access services supervisor. You may have a block on your record.
About blocked patron records: blocks may be caused by having an overdue recalled item, too many overdue materials, or an overdue item that has been marked lost by the system. It could also be a bad barcode, obsolete address, unregistered student, expired contract, etc.
Regardless of any problems renewing online, you are still responsible for returning or renewing materials on time if you wish to avoid overdue fines or replacement charges. You may have to bring unrenewed items back to the appropriate circulation desk(s) for renewal or return. Avoid fines by renewing, double checking results, and resolving problems before materials become overdue.
